#SE.- The Ministry of Economy and Amazon Web Services (AWS) launched the program «Driving Mexican Talent to the Cloud», through which they expect to train around 130 thousand people in cloud skills by the end of 2024, including students, teachers, as well as entrepreneurs, so that they can access tools and knowledge to be competitive in the digital economy, even if they have no previous experience in information technologies.

The Secretary of Economy, Raquel Buenrostro, pointed out that Mexican talent is an enabler in the industrial policy undertaken by the Government of Mexico and one of the main strengths to take advantage of relocation and have growth with a humanistic approach so that no one is left behind and no one is left out.

«Our goal as a government is for Mexico to continue to stand out as an investment destination because of its talent that is not only sufficient, but also well prepared,» he said.

He stressed that this alliance between the government and the private sector seeks to promote the technology industry in a more inclusive way, allowing students of the National Education System to become cloud specialists, and for Mexican entrepreneurs to strengthen their knowledge, their technical experience and improve their conditions of insertion and success in the labor market of our country, promoting, in both cases, the growth and development of Mexico.

The leader of AWS Massive Training for Latin America, Carolina Pina, said that «the jobs of the future are related to cloud, digital platforms and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence. According to the World Economic Forum, 75% of companies will adopt these technologies in the next five years.
