#GobiernoDeMéxico.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador assured that the Welfare Programs strengthen the internal market and stimulate the country’s economy, for which reason he will seek to make the deposit of pensions and scholarships monthly.
«We are going to seek to make it, nothing more than what happened during the campaign; now we can’t. And, also, because we still need to consolidate well the dispersion system in the Welfare Bank. But at least every month, monthly. It is not just a matter of moving forward, but it has an effect on the economy», he pointed out.

In a morning press conference, the President commented that reducing the time between support deposits, that is, making them every month and not every two months, has been a suggestion made by a businessman who supports the Welfare State built during the Fourth Transformation Government.

«The Magonistas used to say that, words more, words less, that when the people are so poor, so poor that they do not even have enough for the basics, commerce, industry or anything else cannot prosper; that, on the other hand, when the people have income to buy the basics and something more, commerce prospers, industry prospers. It is simple», he said.

The Chief Executive said that currently, out of 35 million households, a small portion of the budget directly reaches 30 million households through the Welfare Programs.

The other five million benefit indirectly from increases in the minimum wage, the stability of the peso against the dollar, the arrival of remittances, the stability of fuel and electricity prices, as well as the measures promoted by the government to control inflation.
