#Ecatepec, #Edoméx.- The president of the DIF system of Ecatepec, Esmeralda Vallejo Martinez, delivered two thousand blankets to residents of the highlands of the municipality, where the wind chill has reached temperatures below zero during the current winter season.

The head of DIF traveled on foot through communities located in the Sierra de Guadalupe to deliver the blankets directly to the homes of the beneficiaries.

Vallejo Martinez informed that the neighborhoods where the aid will be delivered are La Cuesta, Casitas San Andres de la Cañada, Los Bordos, Ampliacion Los Bordos, Tablas del Pozo, among others, where families suffer from low temperatures, mainly at night and in the early hours of the morning.

She specified that priority will be given to the inhabitants of rustic houses, since there are people who built their homes with sheets, who are the ones who suffer the most from the cold.

She said: «The objective is to prevent respiratory diseases because in these areas and the neighborhoods located in the foothills of the Sierra de Guadalupe the cold is felt very strongly and affects those who have the least».

The head of DIF reiterated that they already have a diagnosis of vulnerable areas and communities, where neighbors require more support, so in coordination with Civil Protection will be aware of the needs of the neighbors to provide the assistance required.
