La Concordia» and «Rizo de Oro» bridges will improve connectivity for the benefit of 21 communities in Chiapas / @jorgenunol @SICTmx >>>

#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) informs that the construction of the bridges «La Concordia» and «Rizo de Oro», in the municipality of La Concordia, Chiapas, will improve connectivity for the benefit of 21 communities in the frailesca region of the state.

The «La Concordia» cable-stayed bridge, which is being built over the La Angostura dam, is 89% complete. The work will have an overall investment of 1,187 million pesos (million pesos) and will have a total extension of 703 meters.

To date, 511 meters of the bridge have been completed, as well as access roads at dirt road level; while the investment has advanced 1,028 million pesos. Only 192 meters of the bridge and paving remain to be built.

The construction of the cable-stayed bridge «La Concordia» had a start date in October 2014, but was not completed, so the project was resumed in this administration; the restart of works was in November 2022. It is expected to be 100% completed in May 2024.

Meanwhile, the construction of the «Rizo de Oro» bridge presents a physical progress of 33%, in which 1,270 million pesos will be invested and will consist of 405 meters of total length, as well as 1.7 kilometers of access roads.

Currently, $416 million pesos have been invested, with a 30% advance in foundations, 30% in the fabrication of the metal structure in the workshop, as well as cuts, clearing, drainage works and earth level shaping.
