Ecatepec fights corruption and protects animals with reforms to the Municipal Bylaw / @FerVilchisMx @Ecatepec >>>
#Ecatepec, #Edoméx.- The creation of the first Animal Protection and Welfare Council, as well as the Municipal Anti-Corruption Council, are the main modifications approved in the Municipal Bylaw of Ecatepec 2024, which was promulgated by the municipal president, Fernando Vilchis Contreras.
The mayor informed that the regulatory framework of the municipality was adapted to the new Civic Justice Law of the State of Mexico, so that now the municipality will have civic courts, which will qualify and punish the infractions established in the same law and in the bando itself.
During the promulgation of the Municipal Bando corresponding to the year 2024, the mayor indicated that the civic judges will promote the culture of peace, through dialogue, as well as mediation, conciliation and restorative justice, as alternative means of dispute resolution.
He said: «This Bando Municipal, contains the bases, the necessary adjustments to make it an instrument of this government and society; as well as the guidelines through which our municipality will continue to consolidate itself in this process of transformation and development».
He detailed that with the approved reforms the Municipal DIF System will coordinate the cultural activities of the planetarium «El Gran Ehécatl, Los Hijos del Dios del Viento» and the Museo de Vestigios Arqueológicos, both located inside the Parque Ecológico Ehécatl, with the objective of promoting culture and art in the municipality.
He added that the Municipal Bando stipulates that Ecatepec will commemorate January 21st as Mariachi Day; January 26th will be Environmental Education Day; August 12th will be celebrated as Youth Day; August 16th as Day of the Native Peoples; August 30th as Day of the Ferieros and Sonideros; and November 22nd will be celebrated as Musician’s Day.
The mayor considered that «with the new Municipal bando we are building an instrument that favors social harmony and lays the foundations to continue walking hand in hand with the people, with businessmen, with merchants, churches and more representations of the social sectors in the recovery and restoration of Ecatepec».
«This government with values will continue and continues to work day, night, dawn, in the defense of our history and our territory, for which I firmly state that we will not allow anyone to undermine the greatness of our municipality,» concluded the municipal president.
