Economy and OECD hold the Fourth Meeting of the «Informal Semiconductor Exchange Network» / @Edomex >>>

#Economy.- The Ministry of Economy, in coordination with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), held in Mexico City the Fourth Meeting of the «Informal Semiconductor Exchange Network», which aims to promote the exchange of best practices to foster the construction of more resilient value chains in this sector.

The Secretary of Economy, Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez, led the meeting in the company of the head of the Productivity and Business Dynamics Division of the OECD’s Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation, Chiara Criscuolo, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Public Education and the Business Coordinating Council (CCE).

In Mexico’s opening remarks as host country, Secretary Buenrostro emphasized that the current administration has worked to consolidate a social, democratic, participatory and humanist economic model, which seeks to guarantee human dignity, autonomy and freedom for each person, as well as to recognize and respect the capacity of the people to transform history and society.

He reiterated that, based on these principles, the Ministry of Economy has implemented an industrial policy that defines sectors, regions and priorities to guide the economic growth of our country. In this sense, semiconductors are a fundamental part of this policy.
