Mara Lezama heads the Tourism Advisory Council and calls on them to be protagonists in the New Era of Tourism / @MaraLezama @GobQuintanaRoo >>>

#EstadoDeQuintanaRoo.- At the First Ordinary Session of the Quintana Roo Tourism Advisory Council, Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa told the councilors that today we are writing the history of the next 50 years and everyone is a protagonist in achieving something extraordinary in this New Era of Tourism in the state.

Miguel Torruco Marqués, Secretary of Tourism of the federal government, was present at this session and thanked Governor Mara Lezama for the united, coordinated work, working hand in hand for the projection of tourism in Quintana Roo, with various projects to make the activity a tool for social reconciliation.

After presenting the report on the closing of the 2023 tourism activity and the work plan for 2024, the governor of Quintana Roo affirmed that all the commitments and agreements made in the Council will be met by working together in a New Era for Tourism in which shared prosperity will be achieved.

Before representatives of Hotel Associations from Cancun, Bacalar, Holbox, Tulum, Cozumel and Isla Mujeres, she emphasized that in this New Era of Transformation, the important thing is to continue working in coordination with the sector to multiply the success of tourism, ensuring that it is sustainable and generates social justice and shared prosperity in every corner of Quintana Roo.

In this meeting, the tourism results for 2023 were presented, in which historic figures were achieved with 21 million tourists, 33.7 million passengers, 6.2 million cruise passengers and an economic revenue of more than 20 billion dollars.
