#CuautitlánIzcalli, #Edoméx.- In a joint effort, the municipal president of Cuautitlán Izcalli, Karla Fiesco, together with the president of the Municipal DIF System, Jessica Villaseñor García, met with representatives of the governments of Tlalnepantla de Baz, Nicolás Romero and the municipal president of Atizapán de Zaragoza, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, to sign the Intermunicipal Route for the Eradication of Child Labor (RIETI) Collaboration Agreement.
This historic agreement establishes a coordination work between four important municipalities, with the objective of eliminating forms of child labor in the region. The signing of this agreement reflects the joint commitment of the participants to protect the rights of children and create a safe environment for their development.
Mayor Karla Fiesco García commented that these four governments have the will and determination to act as a team for the causes and for what is most important, which are the children and adolescents. «The more voices and hands there are, the more possibilities there are to bring together the complaints and work we advocate for them, eradicating this reality so that they have the possibility of knowing a life with opportunities, improvement and goals,» she said.
The RIETI includes a series of concrete actions, among which stand out the creation of multi-sector platforms to coordinate efforts and resources among the different governments involved, create a Joint Work Plan to implement effective measures for the prevention and protection of children’s rights, collaborate closely with the State Labor Secretariat to ensure compliance with labor laws and the application of appropriate public policies, as well as the organization of awareness-raising events to raise community awareness of the importance of eradicating child labor and disseminate the results of the actions undertaken.
