SEMAREN and Grupo Aca sign agreement to reforest Acapulco with 10 thousand trees / @EvelynSalgadoP @Gob_Guerrero >>>
#EstadoDeGuerrero.- Continuing with the environmental restoration actions in Acapulco, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMAREN) signed a Collaboration Agreement with the Acapulco Civil Association (Grupo Aca), with the objective of joining actions in favor of the environment, animal welfare and reforestation.
In the facilities of the Vicente Guerrero Forest Nursery, the agreement was signed by the head of the agency, Ángel Almazán Juárez and the president of the association, Aleida Alarcón Domínguez, to counteract the damage caused by Hurricane Otis, who agreed to implement various environmental actions.
In his message, the Secretary of the Environment emphasized that Semaren will donate 10,000 native tropical trees to Grupo Aca, and will supervise the correct growth of these species, providing training to achieve successful reforestation.
The president of the association, Aleida Alarcón recognized the commitment of the government presided by Evelyn Salgado Pineda with the environment, and thanked the secretary for his willingness to sign this important agreement that will allow the recovery of Acapulco’s flora.
Also in attendance were the SEMAREN Forestry Director, Elder Nájera Valle; the head of the Legal Affairs Unit, Jorge Luis Valente Pérez; the vice-president of Grupo Aca, Margarita Muñoz Nava; the president of the Environment and Animal Welfare Commission, Mónica Corazón Gordillo, among others.
