México and Venezuela promote best practices in international cooperation / @aliciabarcena @SRE_mx >>>

#SRE.- As part of the commitments acquired by Mexico in order to contribute to the economic and social development of the Latin American and Caribbean region, with a humanistic approach, considering the deep ties of friendship and cooperation, several working groups were held from February 22 to 23, 2024 in Venezuela, with institutions of that country, with the purpose of exchanging information on cooperation projects.

These projects seek to improve the effectiveness of cooperation with tangible and short-term results, through initiatives that directly reach the target population, adding to international development cooperation a more human face and greater scope that prioritizes the welfare of people, building capacities and achieving a multiplier effect of development in families and communities.

The project seeks to contribute to the food security of Venezuelan agricultural producers living in rural areas through training and the implementation of agroforestry production systems that encourage self-consumption and the marketing of surpluses.

Another project proposal was also presented, which seeks to provide job training and job placement opportunities to Venezuelan adults to increase their employability and contribute to their development.
