More than 1,500 specialists to graduate from Issste in 2024 / @drpedrozenteno @ISSSTE_mx >>>

#ISSSTE.- With the purpose of improving and raising the quality of health care in clinics and hospitals, the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste), through the Medical Directorate, held the closing ceremony of the courses of medical specialties and subspecialties, in the modality of direct and indirect entry 2024.

In total, 1,502 professionals completed the training stage by graduating from the 22 direct entry specialties and 33 indirect entry specialties throughout the country. In addition, 113 medical residents received honorable mention for obtaining an average final grade of 9.5 and 10.
With this generation, from 2019 to date there are 4,494 specialists trained in the areas of cardiothoracic and pediatric surgery, emergency medicine, hematology, urology, medical oncology, psychiatry, traumatology, orthopedics, among others, informed the Medical Directorate.

By means of these actions, Issste is making progress in having specialists trained to provide quality, dignified and humane care to the entire Mexican population, which demonstrates the Institute’s experience and academic prestige in the training of doctors who contribute to the service provided to 13.8 million beneficiaries.

In each of the specialization courses, the Medical Directorate combines teaching, research and assistance, as well as activities that provide feedback, both to the personnel in training and to the physicians assigned to the organization.
