Cultural program announced for International Women’s Day in Querétaro / @makugo @gobqro >>>

#EstadoDeQuerétaro.- On the occasion of International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8, the State Secretariat of Culture (SECULT) will develop a program of cultural and artistic activities that includes exhibitions, book presentations, workshops and two film series.

Among the museum exhibitions is «Estructura Ausente 2.0, 24 women in abstract art», which will be open to the public until April 28, at the Museo de Arte de Queretaro (MAQRO); likewise, at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo Queretaro (MACQ), the exhibition «La belleza de mi enemigo», by Jod Laurie, will be inaugurated on March 20.

On March 7, the Centro Queretano de la Imagen (CQI) will inaugurate the photography exhibitions «Habitar la Mirada» and the International Photography Exhibition «Sopa, Libertad y Gibré», while at the Centro de Arte Emergente (CAE), the exhibition Arte Libre 2024 will open on March 8.

At the Centro Cultural Bookstore there will be three book presentations: on March 12 with «Cuentos breves de horror para ser ocupados», by Allure Spinosa; on March 19, «Tierra de apariciones», by Ana Saavedra, and on March 26, «Antes y después», by Dalia Larisa Juárez Otero.

Likewise, the Museum of the Restoration of the Republic will host a day of dramatized readings «Women in Don Quixote, a glimpse of modernity», and the Center for the Arts of Queretaro will host the workshop «Forgiving and letting go of the cycle of abuse» by therapist Rigel Piñon.
