SICT recommends taking precautions when traveling on the road / @jorgenunol @SICTmx >>>

#SICT.- In view of the return of vacationers to their places of origin, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) recommends that you take precautions when traveling on federal highways.

Respecting traffic signs, using seat belts, avoiding the use of cell phones, not drinking alcoholic beverages or taking drugs and respecting speed limits are simple measures that can save you and your loved ones from any mishap.

It is possible to reduce risk factors when driving on the roads and prevent accidents.

Using your cell phone while driving is a factor that puts your safety at risk while driving; if it is urgent to make a call or send a message, park your car in a safe place to make it.

The use of seat belts has saved lives, so it is very important to wear them. If children are traveling, they should ride in the back of the car in special seats.

It is estimated that 40% of traffic accidents on the Federal Highway Network result in at least one victim. The main cause of death of people under 30 years of age is road accidents.

Prevention is one of the safety factors on federal highways.

Remember: «Roads are safer if you drive with caution», «The messages you should read when driving are not on your cell phone» and «Drive with caution».
