DIFEM provides training on comprehensive protection and restitution of the rights of children / @Edomex >>>

#Edoméx.- The System for the Integral Development of the Family of the State of Mexico (DIFEM) trained the heads of the Offices for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (PPNNyA), attached to Municipal DIF Systems of the entity.

In this meeting, held in the Diforama auditorium, the importance of the municipal PPNNyA was highlighted, since they are the first instance of attention in cases of abuse of children and adolescents in Mexico, so it is essential to strengthen these instances.

In this sense, as part of the training program, the following topics were presented: adoptions, urgent protection measures, summary judgment, migration, plan for the restitution of rights and social assistance centers.

In the task of preventing and protecting children’s rights, the relevance of basing the work of prosecutors on the new postulate that recognizes children and adolescents as rights holders was emphasized.

It was recommended to public servants to analyze the need to have protocols of attention to situations of orphanhood as a result of social contexts that cause the loss of parents, in addition to schemes of integral attention to the violation of the rights of children and adolescents.

It was mentioned that the Law on the Rights of Children and Adolescents of the State of Mexico establishes that the heads of the municipal attorney’s offices must pass the knowledge evaluation, prior training course to be carried out by DIFEM and have the certification of labor competence related to the integral protection and restitution of the rights of children and adolescents, issued by an institution with official recognition of validity.
