#EstadoDeMéxico.- Daniel Sibaja, Secretary of Mobility of the State of Mexico, informed that the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will manage the necessary resources to carry out technical studies to improve the public transportation system, reduce greenhouse gases and promote electromobility.

He explained that the IDB-Mexico, through its Transportation Division, will be in charge of managing non-reimbursable technical collaboration resources to finance the studies that will allow the State of Mexico to transition to modern transportation systems.

In a first stage, technical studies will be carried out to integrate an efficient and transparent collection system in public transportation systems.

There are also plans to carry out studies to renew public transportation units, through an integral process of re-engineering and professionalization in operation and service.

He indicated that this will allow for state-of-the-art mobility, with fast, energetically sustainable public transportation services, with high social profitability and greater capacity, and above all, fewer units on the roads.

Daniel Sibaja commented that the technical support will also strengthen the institutional capacity of the Secretariat of Mobility and will generate work methodologies that will be replicated in the different projects to achieve more efficient and sustainable goals.

The support of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit of the Federal Government was acknowledged so that, through the Inter-American Development Bank, resources can be managed to promote the objectives set forth by Mrs. Delfina Gómez Álvarez, Governor of the State of Mexico.
