#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Governor of the State of Mexico, Delfina Gómez Álvarez supervised the construction of the Chalco-Santa Martha Trolleybus, where as of this week they will begin to place the load-bearing beams of the elevated viaduct being built on the Mexico-Puebla highway.

During the tour, Governor Delfina Gómez was accompanied by Daniel Sibaja González and Carlos Maza Lara, secretaries of Mobility and Urban Development and Infrastructure, respectively.

The project was divided into eight sections that will be completed in October of this year.

The elevated viaduct is one of the most important sections, due to the complexity of its construction and the high standards of safety, strength and efficiency required; it will have an extension of 5.7 kilometers and is already under construction on the north side of the Mexico-Puebla highway.

In his opportunity, Daniel Sibaja mentioned that the correct placement of the beams is very important because they will support the structure where 120 trolleybuses of this transportation system will travel, which will serve more than 120 thousand users daily.

This public transportation system will interconnect the municipalities of Valle de Chalco, Chalco, La Paz and the municipality of Iztapalapa, which will speed up the mobility of 3 million inhabitants of the eastern part of the state by reducing travel time from two hours to 35 minutes, through a direct route and to 50 minutes with intermediate stops.
