#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Government of Mrs. Delfina Gómez Álvarez, through the Ministry of Urban Development and Infrastructure (Sedui), is teaming up with the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMEX) to promote urban development and infrastructure in the state.

Secretary Carlos Maza Lara and Rector Carlos Eduardo Barrera Díaz signed a collaboration agreement for both institutions to be allies in the training process of future professionals, while the state’s communities are transformed into better places to live.

In this regard, the head of the Sedui said that, with the signing of the agreement, the agency opens a range of opportunities for students and graduates of the University to do their social service, as well as internships or professional internships, with the support and supervision of experienced public servants to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom.

The Secretary emphasized that the generation of adequate planning mechanisms to guarantee an orderly and harmonious urban growth, as well as the design of infrastructure with a social sense, are the areas of opportunity in which university students will be able to develop.

For his part, the Rector of the UAEMEX expressed the commitment of the University to the integral development of society and its willingness to work jointly with the Government of the State of Mexico in the search for innovative, effective and quality solutions to the challenges of the 21st century, with the promotion of urban and metropolitan centers, through land use planning and sustainable design.
