#EstadoDeVeracruz.- In the last three weeks, 68 forest fires have been liquidated in the state, an effort that has been possible thanks to the Collaboration Agreement for the Prevention and Fighting of Forest Fires, Conservation and Environmental Restoration, whose contribution of 50 million pesos since April made possible the equipment, training and reaction of the task forces of each municipality.

As of today, 24 fires are still in active combat, of which nine are in green light, three in yellow and 12 in red, informed Governor Cuitláhuac García Jiménez and the Secretary of Civil Protection, Guadalupe Osorno Maldonado.

In addition, four are about to report their closure in Altotonga (Juan Marcos section 7 and 8), La Perla (paraje La Ladera), Vega de Alatorre (Arroyo Grande Segundo property) and Xico (La Guinda in the Cofre de Perote). The elements that attended these last points will now reinforce the work in Tlacolulan, in Uxpanapa and those of the High Mountains.

In addition, four aircraft – two from the Navy, one from the Air Force and another from the State Government – are providing support in Loma Bonita, municipality of Tlacolulan; Ocotla and Tepecuitlapa, in Tequila, and in Omiquila, municipality of Tlilapan, where 214 elements are already working on the ground.
