San Miguel de Allende’s municipal DIF strengthens education for young people / @GobMunicipalSMA >>>

#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- With actions that are reflected in strengthening education, the Municipal Government presided by Mauricio Trejo continues to be close to young students in San Miguel de Allende.

In accordance with the mayor’s strategy of sparing no resources in favor of San Miguel de Allende students, the Municipal System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF San Miguel de Allende), delivered school incentives to elementary, middle and high school students.

“It is to encourage them to continue with their learning, with school, to stay motivated, to continue studying and, above all, to emphasize that it is a help for parents as well. It is one of the priorities of the mayor and the government, which is part of the food, health and incentives such as scholarships, do not stop,” said Brisa Calderon, head of DIF San Miguel de Allende.

This bimonthly social support program aims to encourage the most vulnerable students to successfully complete their studies, so more than 285 students received an economic stimulus that allows them to purchase school supplies and uniforms.

In response to the support provided, María Margarita Luna, mother of a family, acknowledged the efforts of this municipal agency because, in her case, two of her children have been beneficiaries: “Yes, it is very important (the incentive), so that they can get ahead and have a better future. I thank them for all the support they have given her and one of my sons, who also had it before”.
