The Government of Mexico meets the needs of 686 thousand inhabitants of the Costa Chica and Montaña Alta of Guerrero / @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- During the delivery of the modernization and expansion of the Las Cruces-Pinotepa Nacional MEX-200 federal highway, in its Las Vigas-Limits of the states of Guerrero and Oaxaca section, the Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), Jorge Nuño Lara, affirmed that the work will benefit the community and towns of both regions.

At the inauguration event led by the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, accompanied by the president-elect, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, he recognized Nuño Lara and the engineers of the SICT. He informed that in the remaining two months of this administration, upcoming inaugurations of the infrastructure program will continue, among which roads are included.

The Costa Chica, said Lopez Obrador, has a lot of potential, in tourism, agriculture and livestock. “So it has a lot of possibilities for future development.

In reference to labor roads and the Las Cruces-Pinotepa Nacional highway, he highlighted that President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum, “announced that the extension to the neighboring, sister state of Oaxaca, Puerto Escondido,” as well as maintaining the road from Puebla, from Izúcar de Matamoros, to Tlapa and from Tlapa to Marquelia, will continue.

In his opportunity, the head of the SICT said that the road inaugurated today, “already existing, urgently required modernization and expansion, its completion benefits more than 186 thousand inhabitants of 10 municipalities in the region”.

The municipalities benefited are: San Marcos, Florencio Villareal, Cuautepec, Copala, Marquelia, Juchitán, Azoyú, Igualapa, Ometepec and Cuajinicuilapa. “This work generates welfare and justice for all Guerrerenses, particularly benefiting the Afro-Mexican community and the Amuzgo peoples of both the state of Guerrero and the state of Oaxaca,” he said.
