#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- With the «Did You Know What?» campaign, the Municipal Government, presided by Mauricio Trejo, continues to promote the image of San Miguel de Allende as the best cultural destination par excellence and «The #1 City in Mexico and the World».
«¿Sabías Qué?», is one more example of the tourism strategy of President Mauricio Trejo, who continues to position San Miguel de Allende regionally, nationally and globally for its historic colonial charm and vibrant cultural life, which has become a cosmopolitan destination to learn more in detail and have unique travel experiences with family, as a couple, with friends or alone.
«San Miguel de Allende is not only its first square, nor the parish, it is everything that is around San Miguel de Allende; it is starting to give these hard facts that even the San Miguel de Allende people did not know. Each one of us, from where we can, (are going to) position and talk about what is done in San Miguel, about all these hidden gems we have in the destination,» said Tania Castillo, director of Economic Development and Tourism.
Under the legend «the San Miguel you didn’t know», a series of emblematic contents of the city are presented, which have been labeled as World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, such is the case of the Sanctuary of Jesus Nazareno de Atotonilco; the Parish of San Miguel Arcangel, one of the main jewels in Mexico and the world; Cañada de la Virgen, an archaeological zone registered in the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH); To know «El Sabino», which is the largest ahuehuete tree in Mexico, only below the Tule in Oaxaca; in addition to typical places like El Chorro, Museo Casa de Allende, and Casa de la Canal family house now known as the «Instituto Allende», besides knowing the legacy of emblematic characters like the native houses of Juan José de los Reyes Martínez «El Pípila» and also of the Mexican tenor Pedro Vargas.
All these tourist attractions are not only promoted by the Municipal Government, but they are also part of the cultural richness of the municipality and with which it is possible to describe the tourist attractions to its visitors and tourists who live together in all the recreation centers, such as restaurants, hotels and public squares.
