#Celaya, #Gto.- For being an example and inspiration for the children and youth of Celaya and Guanajuato, the City Council and the Municipal Administration, headed by President Javier Mendoza Márquez, presented an award to the judoka Pride of Celaya, Prisca Guadalupe Awiti Alcaraz, who won a silver medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

In the Municipal Presidency building, the judoka who was part of the Mexican delegation in the last edition of the Olympic Games, was applauded by the City Council, public servants and citizens, mainly young people, who gathered to be part of this emotional and historic moment.

The municipal president, Javier Mendoza Márquez, congratulated the athlete for the impressive achievements she has obtained throughout her career and encouraged her to continue moving forward, as she has already become a source of inspiration for present and future generations.

“Today you have before you a great source of inspiration for you to realize that everything can be achieved when there is effort, perseverance, work, commitment and here is a great result, our dear Prisca that many have questioned why we say Celaya pride if she was not born in Celaya. For us she is a worthy representative of the sport and of each one of the people of Celaya,” said the municipal president in his message.
