President to inaugurate Tren El Insurgente connection to Santa Fe on August 31st / @lopezobrador_ @GobiernoMX >>>

#GobiernoDeMéxico.- The second stage of the El Insurgente Train will be inaugurated on August 31, before the end of the Fourth Transformation Government, announced President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
According to information from the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation, it will run from Lerma station to Santa Fe.

It will mean a time saving of up to 1.5 hours for the benefit of more than five million people from the municipalities of Zinacantepec, Toluca, Metepec, Lerma, San Mateo Atenco, Ocoyoacacac and the municipalities of Cuajimalpa and Álvaro Obregón.

In a morning conference, the general director of Banco de Obras y Servicios, Jorge Mendoza Sánchez, informed that the addition of the Santa Fe station makes five operational stations in total: Zinacantepec, Toluca Centro, Metepec, Lerma and Santa Fe.

The new Santa Fe station is located on the east side of the Santa Fe Shopping Center, between Vasco de Quiroga Avenue and the Mexico-Toluca Highway. The service schedule is maintained from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday. It will run 50 kilometers in 37 minutes at a maximum speed of 120 km per hour.

Trains will run every 10 minutes and the fare depends on the route to be traveled; it is 15 pesos minimum and 90 pesos maximum.

There are 84 drivers; 22 regulators; 147 operating, technical and administrative personnel, as well as 378 security and cleaning personnel.
