Issste specialists receive National Recognition for Quality in Health 2024 / @BerthaAlcalde @ISSSTE_mx >>>

#ISSSTE.- Specialists from the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste) received the National Recognition for Quality in Health 2024, awarded by the Ministry of Health for implementing projects to strengthen healthcare services and improve medical services.

Nurse Luz María Vargas Esquivel and social worker Sindy Romero Levario, both attached to the Regional Hospital (HR) “Lic. Adolfo López Mateos”, were among the 10 health professionals distinguished for their merit and trajectory, out of the 54 applications submitted.

With the award for Best Practices in Health Social Work Intervention, Sindy Romero emphasized that participating in these projects is an incentive for her profession, mainly to continue working to provide warm and dignified treatment to those entitled to it, as well as to continue promoting new actions and strategies in the sector.

“I receive this award on behalf of the entire Social Work area of the ‘Lic. Adolfo López Mateos’ Regional Hospital. It is an accumulation of improvement actions implemented throughout my career. I have sought the benefit of the beneficiary population, offering tools for self-care and good work practices that facilitate our performance.”

Luz María Vargas Esquivel, winner of the award for Quality and Safety Management in Health Care, pointed out that for Issste and the entire sector these issues are of the utmost importance, as opportunities for improvement can be detected and, with them, decisions can be made to provide excellent care to patients.
