#GobiernoDeMéxico.- The President thanked the people of Mexico for supporting the Fourth Transformation movement to make the Welfare Programs a reality, such as the Pension for the Welfare of the Elderly, which is now a constitutional right as of the age of 68.

Last February 5, the Chief Executive sent to the Legislative a reform initiative with the purpose of reducing to 65 years of age the age requirement from which it is possible to access this support.

“I leave happy with a clear conscience. We turned many dreams into realities. At least one benefit reaches most of the households in our country and all the elderly have the right to a pension. We did it together. Thank you, thank you, thank you,” he said in his message, which, as stated in the publication, can be heard and seen on radio and television in accordance with the law.
