DIF Monterrey continues working for an Inclusive City / @mtygob >>>

#Monterrey, #N.L.- With actions that seek to consolidate Monterrey as a more inclusive city, the municipal government, through DIF gave a Disability Awareness Workshop that has benefited more than 2,500 people.

The training was held at the facilities of the High School No. 15 Madero of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, where more than 300 students experienced activities to raise awareness about the life of a person with a disability.

Elvira Cardenas Lara, Director of Attention and Inclusion for Persons with Disabilities thanked the students who gathered at the high school’s Multipurpose Auditorium for their openness and willingness to learn and train on the topic of inclusion.

“I am very pleased and happy to know that educational institutions are concerned about bringing this information and education to their students, it is a gift for us, who are people who dedicate ourselves every day to raise awareness of the society that lives in our country,” she added.

“We are working for inclusion, we are working for a world of healthy coexistence where all people have the same living conditions and the same rights.”

Also present at the protocol event were Dr. Walcoy Francisco Rivera Zapata, Director of Preparatoria No. 15 and Gisela Margarita Cuevas López, Academic Assistant Director.
