High-Tech Industry Forum to consolidate educational projects for the training of Highly Specialized Talent / @GobiernoJalisco >>>
#GobiernoDeJalisco.- In order to strengthen and update the curricular offerings in Jalisco’s technological programs, the State Government through the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (SICyT), the Ministry of Economic Development (Sedeco), together with the National Technological Institute of Mexico (TecNM), leaders of the High Technology Industry and various technological programs in the state carried out an analysis, dialogue and networking.
In this space, areas of opportunity were identified in the current programs, highlighting the need to strengthen the development of talent in the semiconductor industry, the mastery of English, softs skills and industry 5.0, which emphasizes collaboration between humans and Artificial Intelligence, which allows increasing human capabilities instead of replacing them.
In addition, five work tables were held to collaborate with the curricular updating of educational programs in the Jalisco and Mexico Technological Schools. These activities are one of the four regional forums that will be held at a national level in order to strengthen the contents in high technology, foresight, social relevance and economic development of public technological higher education.
This forum was attended by representatives from Intel, Bosch, Oracle, IBM and academic directors of the TecNM as well as Jalisco’s technological institutions.
The Government of Jalisco has promoted various strategies for the training and specialization of talent in semiconductors, has awarded scholarships for more than 10 million dollars for bachelor’s and master’s degrees in various universities and has a public policy Jalisco Tech Hub Act that seeks to position the state as a leader in Latin America in development, conversion, attraction and retention of talent through incentives to the innovation and high technology ecosystem.
