#GobiernoDeMéxico.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said that the first speech to the Armed Forces delivered by the president-elect and next supreme commander, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, during her visit to the Heroic Military College on the occasion of the transition of the federal government for the 2024-2030 period, was masterful.
Through his social networks, the president shared a video of the words of the next president of Mexico, who said that the triumph of the transformation movement in the last presidential elections is proof of the profound changes that the country is experiencing.

“In this six-year term, the Armed Forces have seen more women participating in all areas and I am sure it will continue this way because we women have capacity, will and we are not less than men; on the contrary, we are equal (…) In this new stage of transformation, with honesty, love for the people and our homeland, it will be up to us together to continue strengthening peace and security, and always attend with humanism, discipline and courage the problems we have to face”, said Sheinbaum Pardo.

Dr. Sheinbaum Pardo advanced that she will strengthen the National Guard in its incorporation to the Secretariat of National Defense, while the members of the Armed Forces will be called again to participate in strategic projects, such as the passenger trains to the north of the country and the new ports.

“Know that we are going to be an honest and upright government that will make our people proud. And you can be sure of one thing, because of our humanist origin, because of the deep respect I have for our Armed Forces, I will never issue an order that violates the constitutional order or the human rights of our people,” he said.
