Comunder reaches all municipalities for student mobility with new route in Ensenada: Marina del Pilar / @BCGobierno >>>
#BajaCalifornia.- To facilitate university students’ access to free, safe and dignified transportation, the governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, launched this Monday the new COMUNDER route in the port of Ensenada.
The governor emphasized that the COMUNDER program promotes student mobility and ensures that transportation costs do not represent an obstacle to continue their studies. In addition, with the recently inaugurated route in Ensenada, the seven municipalities of the state are now covered.
“In these governments of the Fourth Transformation, young people build the future, but they are the present of our country,” said the governor after highlighting the importance of young people’s active participation in their communities.
The service, which is supported by Juventud B.C., has a total distance of 38.8 kilometers and will depart at 5:40 a.m. from Maneadero, south of the city, and return at 6:30 p.m. from the UABC El Sauzal campus located north of the urban area, serving students from at least four educational centers.
The kick-off ceremony took place at the UABC facilities, Ensenada Unit, and was attended by the rector of the University, Luis Enrique Palafox Maestre, the mayor of Ensenada, Claudia Agatón Muñiz, José Francisco Molina, director of Juventud B.C., as well as Daiara Siriem Núñez Rodríguez, representative of the UABC student community, who expressed her satisfaction for the launching of this route.
