#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- Upon taking office as municipal president 2024-2027 after winning reelection, Mauricio Trejo assured that the present and future of the people is positive because “in San Miguel we do things right”.

In front of a little more than a thousand San Miguel residents gathered in the esplanade of the Jardín Principal, where he took his civic oath of office and pledged to continue advancing for the benefit of the people of San Miguel, together with the members of the City Council and his entire municipal cabinet. There, he highlighted the achievements and progress made in the last three years, which will be continued in the next three-year term that began today.

“But if you look, the common denominator is: first place in water, in box peso gallo, in attracting foreign investment, in the state in water management, drainage, the Best Small City under 160,000 inhabitants, are pure first places to which we are aspiring and we are getting it. Economic development continues for San Miguel de Allende, support for education continues for San Miguel de Allende, we will continue to build bridges with the state government, with the federal government, to have common projects”, said the mayor.

Separating partisan ideologies, Mauricio Trejo highlighted that the government is built with alliances with Governor Libia Dennise García and with the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum: “San Miguel de Allende is an ally of the state and federal government. Scholarships are maintained, but above all: what is maintained is the Soy Tu Amigo program, the number 1 social program in the state and it is being replicated in other municipalities. Today we can do everything from the hand of Governor Libia Garcia, with whom we have a great friendship, a great recognition to this great woman and also from the hand of Claudia Sheinbaum, for whom I ask for a big applause. Both of them, great allies of San Miguel de Allende. We are very pleased”.
