#Atizapán, #Edoméx.- With the Opera Figaro and the Alchemist, this Sunday night closed the activity of the artistic and cultural festival Agua Blanca 2024, an event organized by the Subdirección de Cultura de Desarrollo Social de Atizapán de Zaragoza, which brought together 2,500 artists in 32 venues distributed in five states of the Mexican Republic.

In this edition, with the support of the Mayor of Atizapán, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, Agua Blanca gained national relevance by performing in venues such as Los Cabos, Baja California Sur; Nogales, Sonora, Cuatla, Morelos; Jilotepec, Veracruz and Atizapán de Zaragoza, State of Mexico, thus attracting more than 40 thousand spectators in person and online who enjoyed the various shows.

Throughout his three years of government, the Municipal President, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, has promoted culture as a complement to the integral development of the municipality, along with public works and support for the students of Atizapán.

To close the 16 days of activities, this Sunday night, the attendees who came to the Zaragoza Theater, appreciated the talent of the artists of the Fine Arts Opera and the Philharmonic of Atizapán de Zaragoza, who performed Figaro and the Alchemist, the story of a young man who travels to the future in search of a potion that produces happiness in human beings.

As part of the events, there were folkloric dance shows, choral music with the Branshala Choir, sculpture exhibitions, song and poetry recitals, among other activities. Among the five states, there were 65 events that exceeded the expectations of those who attended the different venues.

“The Agua Blanca Festival movement was sponsored by Mayor Pedro David Rodríguez Villegas, who has supported us since its first edition, for which we are very grateful to the organizing committee and all the artists who have participated in this cultural festival. It is very important to take art and culture outside of Atizapán to other municipalities and show the talent that exists in Mexico and in Atizapán de Zaragoza,” stated Édgar Rainier Palacios, Deputy Director of Culture.
