#GobiernoDeMéxico.- The Constitutional President of the United Mexican States, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, inaugurated the Santa Rosalía General Hospital in Mulegé, Baja California Sur, which provides universal care through IMSS-Bienestar for the population regardless of whether or not they have social security.

“Now this great institution is being built, which together with the rescue of Issste and the rescue of IMSS, IMSS-Bienestar make a single public health system; that is why this hospital is a universal care hospital, it is not that here we do not attend to those who are IMSS or Issste beneficiaries, here we attend to everyone.

“And our objective is that we move forward so that there is only one health system in the whole country, one public health system, so that if we get sick we can go to an Issste, IMSS or IMSS-Bienestar hospital and be treated with dignity and with everything that is required,” he explained.

In addition to the hospital infrastructure, he highlighted the importance of the health professionals who will join the new “Doctors for Wellbeing” program, who, with their knowledge, will contribute to guaranteeing access to medical care anywhere in the country.

“We are going to continue strengthening the IMSS-Wellness system, not only with hospitals and health centers, but also with this new vision of doctors and health personnel not only being at the health center, but through these Wellness Doctors they can be in contact with the entire population; in this way it is a comprehensive system, from prevention to the most complex care,” he said.
