SICT commemorates International Day for the Eradication of Violence against Women / @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) commemorated this October 25 the International Day for the Eradication of Violence against Women, for which it held the conference “Visibilization”, with the aim of sensitizing the staff of this agency in the respect and exercise of human rights of vulnerable groups.

Through the General Directorate of Human Resources, the SICT had as a guest speaker, Vilma Ramirez Santiago, an independent consultant on criminal issues, human rights, equality and non-discrimination, who presented the topic “Visibilization of Vulnerable Groups”.

Ramirez Santiago spoke about the incorporation of visibility to the Mexican Constitution, in order to position in the public agenda and in public service the fundamental rights and freedoms of people in the country, but especially in vulnerable groups.

Historically they (vulnerable groups) have been excluded and discriminated against; however, there has been a great opening to advance in the protection and application of their human rights, commented the specialist.
