Josefina Rodríguez and Alejandra Frausto inaugurate the ephemeral store “Mexico City, City of Design” / @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- The Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, and the Secretary of Tourism of Mexico City, Alejandra Frausto Guerrero, inaugurated the exhibition “Mexico City, City of Design” at Punto Mexico.

From January 8 to 28, 2025, the best of Mexico City’s design, through the work of more than 30 exhibitors from the Mexican capital, will gather at Punto México to celebrate the creativity and talent that make Mexico City the capital of design.

In this exhibition, attendees will be able to admire designs that reflect good collaborative practices, sustainable processes, environmental care and social impact, as well as proposals full of identity, innovation, exploration and tradition from some of the most outstanding exhibiting collectives, with the best of “chilango” design: emerging and consolidated brands, firms, and independent creatives in product design, jewelry, decoration, illustration, photography, interiors, architecture, graphics and signage.

The head of the Ministry of Tourism, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, celebrated this new way of promoting Mexico City and giving value to Mexican culture through “Chilango” design.

She also informed about the creation of the new network of Mexico Points, as part of the promotion of tourist destinations at national and international level, which will allow to expose the culture and craftsmanship, in its different forms, symbol of the greatness of Mexico.
