#Tlalpan, #CDMX.- In order to improve the living conditions of the population living in the boundaries of the municipalities of Tlalpan, Álvaro Obregón and La Magdalena Contreras, an agreement was signed today to carry out coordinated actions and strategies to strengthen crime prevention, improve public safety and the conditions of public spaces.
The objectives of this agreement are to redouble efforts in the area of citizen security by developing joint government programs and actions to improve surveillance, crime prevention and response to criminal events, as well as to improve the provision of urban services after planning and programming.
Likewise, attention will be reinforced in emergency situations that affect the people of the southwest region of Mexico City, who live or transit in the territory corresponding to the territorial demarcations of the involved Alcaldías.
In terms of urban services, efforts will be directed towards actions that contribute to improving the conditions of public space in the shared territorial limits, including public lighting, timely attention to water leaks, cleaning, paving, garbage collection and maintenance of public spaces.
The Mayors and the Mayoress of the South West zone agreed that through coordinated work, it will be possible to achieve more and better results in the border areas of their districts, which for many years have been abandoned spaces.
The strategic model called “Fronteras Sin Limites” (Borders Without Limits) includes a cabinet meeting that will be held once every three months to present results.
Mayor Gabriela Osorio said that today marks a historic precedent: “three mayors’ offices working together to guarantee the security of our communities, following the metropolitan security vision of our Chief of Government. Today we are implementing a clear strategy that includes attention to the causes, the proximity of institutions to the people and the recovery of public spaces. This joint effort with more patrols, more police and special attention to women and girls is the first step to build a safer and peaceful Sur Poniente”.
