#Atizapán, #Edoméx.- In the framework of World Environment Day, the municipal government of Atizapán de Zaragoza held an event at the Technical High School N.- 62 “Jaime Torres Bodet”, where 1200 students participated.

The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of caring for the environment and promote actions to protect it. In the coming days, various activities will be carried out, such as workshops, conferences and exhibitions, all focused on environmental protection, which will reach different schools in the municipality.

For the municipal president of Atizapán de Zaragoza, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, the importance of caring for the environment is a key part of his government’s guiding principle.

“We are working to make Atizapán de Zaragoza a greener and more sustainable city. We are investing in reforestation, recycling and environmental education projects,” said the mayor.

Among the actions that the municipal government of Atizapán de Zaragoza has carried out in favor of the environment are:
-The conservation and cleaning of the Madin Dam.
-The implementation of a solid waste recycling program.
The installation of rainwater harvesting systems in schools called “rain schools”; -Promotion of the use of renewable energies.
-The promotion of the use of renewable energies.
-Environmental education in schools and communities.
The municipal government of Atizapán de Zaragoza invites citizens to join the efforts to protect the environment.
