#Toluca, #Edoméx.- The dignity of the police and the strengthening of proximity to the citizens are the main axes of the security strategy in Toluca, this was announced by the Mayor of Toluca, Ricardo Moreno Bastida, during the delivery of 100 patrol cars by the Government of the State of Mexico to the State Security Secretariat.

Accompanying Governor Delfina Gómez Alvarez, the mayor highlighted the importance of coordination between the different security forces to guarantee better results in the protection of the population.

The current government of Toluque seeks a police force that is close to the citizens, empathetic and aware of their needs. To achieve this, it must improve and correct its operation, strengthen its service vocation and make citizens feel proud of their police.

At the event, the Mayor acknowledged the leadership of Governor Delfina Gómez Alvarez and her peace-building model, which has shown positive results throughout the state, including the capital of Mexico City. He stressed that this strategy is a key tool to return peace and tranquility to Toluca and the state.

Finally, Moreno Bastida highlighted the importance of collaboration between the different levels of government, since security problems transcend municipal boundaries. In this sense, he reaffirmed Toluca’s commitment to strengthen its relationship with the National Guard, the Secretary of Security of the State of Mexico and the State Attorney General’s Office, for the benefit of the people of Toluca.
