#Naucalpan, #Edoméx.- For the Municipal Government, the implementation of a Protocol of Attention to Persons with Disabilities in Naucalpan, where according to official data from the Population and Housing Census INEGI 2020 there are 128 thousand 677 people, represents a fundamental step towards the construction of a more inclusive, equitable and accessible public administration, which endorses its commitment to all people, said the municipal president, Isaac Montoya Márquez.

In Naucalpan we firmly believe that an administration that listens, that is aware and empathetic, that puts itself in the place of the other, and that acts with a sense of inclusion with those who have been relegated or excluded, is an administration that reflects the principles of the transformation movement, he said.

The sub-directorate of Inclusive and Participatory Communication gave the “Workshop on Awareness and Inclusive Communication in the Attention to Persons with Disabilities for Public Servants” and presented the Protocol to the areas of attention to citizens in the municipality, in order to establish clear guidelines for the attention to this sector of the population, ensuring equal opportunities, accessibility and dignified treatment in accordance with the principles of human rights, the General Law for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities and accessibility standards.

Montoya Márquez, said that this first training, from an inclusive and inclusive approach, ensures that every human being has accessibility conditions in terms of the rights enshrined, such as information, to be treated with dignity and fairness. I urge public servants to reflect on words and deeds, on the way we conduct ourselves towards this sector of the population.

Through the department of Inclusive and Community Communication, about a hundred public servants were trained, who according to the document must ensure respect for the rights of persons with disabilities, because it is not only a legal and ethical obligation, but also an opportunity to strengthen the quality of public services and promote a more just society.

Likewise, the person who gave the training is part of the group of people with disabilities and is a Mexican sign language interpreter, and also informed that the Municipal Government’s web page already has accessibility tools.
