#TlalnepantlaDeBaz, #EstadoDeMéxico – As of today, fines are back in Tlalnepantla, and the municipal government headed by Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz is calling on the population to respect the current regulations and avoid acts of corruption.

Through the General Commissariat of Proximity and Citizen Security it is reported that only uniformed female personnel in black, with orange piping and fully identified will be able to sanction drivers who commit any type of violation of the traffic regulations of the State of Mexico.

The head of the department, Jorge Alberto Gómez Estrella, explained the procedure when issuing a ticket: first of all, the officer identifies herself with the driver and asks for a valid driver’s licence and registration card; then she informs the driver of the reason for the fine; the ticket is drawn up and the driver is given the ticket; finally, she tells the driver where and when to pay the fine.

The commissioner urged the public not to take part in corruption and indicated that if they are victims of abuse or attempted extortion by traffic police, they should report it to the Internal Affairs department of the agency at 5610531704 or by emailing denuncia@tlalnepantla.gob.mx.

He indicated that the reasons for which a vehicle may be detained are: lack of verification, expired number plates, failure to circulate, driving while intoxicated and non-compliance with the Saturday permit (no circulation from 06:00 to 22:00 hours).

Gómez Estrella detailed some of the most common offences by drivers such as double parking where there are restrictive signs, not wearing seat belts, not respecting traffic lights, parking on pedestrian crossings, among others.
