SICT will renovate 904 km of highways and roads in the Mixtec zone of Oaxaca this year / @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) will carry out, starting in April, reconstruction, rehabilitation or modernization works on 904 kilometers of highways and roads in Oaxaca, from Huajuapan de León to Pinotepa Nacional, including those that connect with La Montaña de Guerrero.

The works in the Mixteca region of Oaxaca are intended by the federal government as a renovation to boost trade and connectivity in the region; most of them will be completed this year and an investment of approximately 5,986 million pesos is expected.

The agency, headed by Mr. Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina, is contemplating the reconstruction of the 88 km Nochixtlán-Huajuapan R-190 section of the Huajuapan de León-Oaxaca federal highway, in which 308 million pesos will be invested between April and November.

The 121 km of the Tehuacan-Puebla and Oaxaca-Chazumba-Huajuapan de Leon federal highway will be rebuilt. The 167 km Huajuapan-Mariscala-Tamazola-Silacayoapan (Juxtlahuaca) feeder road will also be rehabilitated, with resources totaling 688 million pesos.

The 131 km Huajuapan-Tlacotepec-Juxtlahuaca Santa María Asunción-El Carrizal-Putla de Guerrero federal highway will also be reconstructed, with 309 million pesos; between April and December of this year, 48 km will be worked on.
