#EstadoDeGuanajuato.- The Governor of the People, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, led the ceremony for the delivery and commissioning of Fire Unit 355 of the San Miguel de Allende Fire Department.

“I am very pleased to be here with the firefighters of this great World Heritage city, who have served, some for 40 years, and continue to do so today, with courage, dedication, and a vocation for service. They go beyond exhaustion, because they put on the uniform again and again, to go out and save lives and protect homes,” said the State Governor.

“Doing it once is difficult; doing it for decades is a vocation, it is love, and that is what this noble institution of the San Miguel de Allende Fire Department has achieved. More than four decades, which seem easy to say, have been a great effort for this volunteer organization,” she added.

She said that this institution, from being a small group with limited equipment, is now an organization with a formal structure, equipped, and recognized for its commitment.

«Today, I am very pleased to accompany you in the launch of Unit 355 of the San Miguel de Allende Fire Department. It is very good news for the community,» she emphasized.

And the People’s Government joins this event, recognizing the effort you have made to acquire this unit, which reinforces the service you provide in fighting and preventing fires. Especially considering that the financial resources that support the operation and provision of your services come from benefactors,» said Libia Dennise.

«Thank you for all your courage, dedication, and commitment. I feel like one of our members of this Fire Department, and I want to tell you that you are not alone; you have my full support,» the Governor stated.
