#Celaya, #Gto.- At a press conference focused on «Government for All,» Teresa Rosillo García, director of the municipal System for the Comprehensive Development of the Family (DIF), announced this. She was accompanied by the DIF team, Alma Guadalupe Virgen Salazar, director of the Municipal Institute for Women of Celaya (InsMujeres), and Gustavo Paloalto, chief of staff.
The PILARES program was created in Mexico City and is part of the Community Education Subsystem, which, since its implementation, has contributed to reducing rates of violence. Currently, there are 300 centers in that state, explained the director of DIF Celaya.
She mentioned that in previous months and weeks, the DIF Celaya team had been open and engaged to learn about the model, seeking to attract its implementation in the municipality. Thanks to the willingness of the Mexico City government and the Federal Government, the conditions are now in place to open the first PILARES center in this municipality.
This first PILARES center will be located at the Celaya DIF (District of Education) facilities on Irrigación Avenue. It will feature a «cyber-school» classroom with computer equipment so that those interested can study and complete their primary, secondary, and high school studies.
It will offer artistic activities such as ballroom dancing and Latin rhythms classes, as well as a cardboard workshop; and sports activities such as boxing, physical activity, and cachibol.
It will offer workshops in textile making, carpentry, and embossing to contribute to economic autonomy, as well as personal growth activities such as Reiki, meditation, and literacy.
