Zacango Ecological Park celebrates the children of the State of Mexico with music and family activities
In a family-friendly atmosphere and surrounded by the natural beauty of Zacango Ecological Park, children and their families enjoyed a unique day with a musical concert performed by the Children’s and Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of the State of Mexico (OFIJEM), which evoked deep memories and emotions to celebrate Children’s Day.
The talent of young people from the State of Mexico captivated the audience with iconic pieces from films such as The Wizard of Oz, Jurassic Park, The Lion King, and Pirates of the Caribbean, connecting all generations in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and energy. This performance was organized by the State Commission of Natural Parks and Fauna (Cepanaf), an agency attached to the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development.
Leopoldo Iván Miravete Mora, OFIJEM’s musical director, excitedly shared that part of this repertoire was selected with the intention of pampering and honoring his inner child, reminding everyone that music has the power to reconnect us with our purest essence.
Alma Tapia, General Director of Cepanaf, emphasized that, with The Power to Serve, they work to offer children spaces that foster learning, culture, and respect for nature. «Events like this remind us of the importance of sowing in our children the seeds of art, a love of life, and a commitment to their environment,» she emphasized.
The celebration not only allowed families to enjoy an exceptional concert, but also to rekindle their connection with the park’s natural beauty through recreational, educational, and recreational activities.
With this event, Cepanaf reaffirms its mission to make state parks places of encounter, learning, and coexistence for people of all ages.
