The Mexico City-Querétaro train will connect with public transportation systems in four states / @SICT_mx >>>
#SICT.- The 226-kilometer Mexico City-Querétaro Train, whose construction has already begun, will connect with transportation systems in Mexico City, Hidalgo, Querétaro, and the State of Mexico. The journey will take two hours and will benefit an estimated six million users.
The project was launched by President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, with the presence of the Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT), Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina, and the Head of the Railway Transportation Regulatory Agency (ARTF), Andrés Lajous Loaeza.
The new route will pass through the municipalities of Huehuetoca, State of Mexico; Tula, Hidalgo; San Juan del Río, and Querétaro.
Leaving Mexico City, the first station is Huehuetoca, in the State of Mexico, an industrial area with population growth. a bus stop (where occasional stops will be made), then Praderas del Potrero, as well as the Tula, San Juan del Río, Los Héroes/Airport (yet to be determined), and Querétaro stations.
In Mexico City, it will connect from the Buenavista Terminal to the Buenavista-Cuautitlán Suburban Train. Users will be able to continue their journeys on Metro Line B, as well as Metrobús and Ecobici lines 1, 3, and 4; and in Querétaro, with the QroBus and local transportation.
In accordance with the architectural design of the Mexico City-Querétaro Train, the «La Corregidora» terminal station in Querétaro will have a ticket office, a lobby (waiting room), and entrance and exit turnstiles.
