SICT and CAPUFE will invest more than 34 billion pesos in road maintenance nationwide by 2025 / @SICT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) and the Federal Highways and Bridges (CAPUFE) will allocate a joint investment of 34.438 billion pesos in 2025 for routine maintenance work—through the Bachetón program—and periodic maintenance of the Federal Highway Network. For the entire administration, the cumulative investment will amount to 219.68 billion pesos.

Under the leadership of Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina, the SICT has set the following goals for this year:

Routine maintenance of 48,653 kilometers;
Periodic maintenance of 9,472 kilometers;
Rehabilitation of 10 highways and 9 bridges.
CAPUFE and the General Directorates of Technical Services, Highways, and Maintenance are already working on maintenance and rehabilitation of vehicular bridges.

During the first phase of the Bachetón Program, 45,903 kilometers of roads were rehabilitated and 289,694 potholes were repaired. In addition, regrading, weeding, and cleaning drainage works were carried out, all of which are essential to ensuring safe and efficient traffic.
