SICT launches Lázaro Cárdenas del Río program, with road works in Oaxaca and Guerrero / @SICT_mx >>>
#SICT.- As part of the Lázaro Cárdenas del Río Program promoted by the Government of Mexico, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications, and Transportation (SICT) is launching road works in Oaxaca and Guerrero, totaling 572 kilometers and an investment of 4.82 billion pesos.
As instructed by Secretary Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina, with these projects, the agency is advancing toward its 2025 goal, which involves 612 kilometers of road infrastructure and an investment of 2.73 billion pesos in remote communities in the Mixteca region, home to historically marginalized indigenous peoples.
During the current administration, the SICT aims to develop 904 kilometers of roads, with a cumulative investment of 5.986 billion pesos, with the goal of strengthening connectivity in the Balsas River basin.
Among the priority projects to be implemented by 2025 are:
Huajuapan–Mariscala–Tamazola–Silacayoapan Highway (167 km), with an investment of 668 million pesos.
Huajuapan–Tlacotepec–Juxtlahuaca–Santa María Asunción–El Carrizal–Putla Highway (160 km), with resources totaling 425 million pesos.
Juxtlahuaca–San Martín Peras–Ahuejutla–Alcozauca de Guerrero–Tlapa Highway (116 km), with an investment of 2.32 billion pesos.
San Juan Mixtepec–Juxtlahuaca Highway (31 km), with resources totaling 247 million pesos.
E.C. Junction (San Martín Peras–Juxtlahuaca–Coicoyán–Metlatónoc–Chilixtlahuaca), with a length of 98 km and an investment of 1.16 billion pesos.
The SICT also reports significant progress on three additional projects under this program, which includes Puebla.
These projects total 332 kilometers and an investment of 1.166 billion pesos:
Huajuapan de León–Oaxaca Highway, Nochixtlán–Huajuapan section (R190), with a length of 88 km and a budget of 308 million pesos.
Tehuacán Highway–Puebla/Oaxaca border–Chazumba–Huajuapan de León.
Putla de Guerrero–Pinotepa Nacional Highway (123 km), with an investment of 374 million pesos.
