#SECTUR.- The Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Mexico, Josefina Rodríguez Zamora, announced the conclusion of the consultation forums for the 2025–2030 Tourism Sector Program (PROSECTUR), which identified strategies and lines of action that will contribute to achieving a better future for tourism.
«With the joint work of all those interested in making tourism a generator of Shared Prosperity, let us continue to join forces, with this new National Tourism Policy, so that the benefits of tourism reach every corner of our country, especially the most vulnerable sectors of society,» she stated.
She explained that PROSECTUR is the strategic planning instrument for the development of Mexico’s tourism sector, aligned with the objectives and goals established in the 2025–2030 National Development Plan.
She specified that, as part of the strategic planning actions for the integration of PROSECTUR, three regional public consultation forums were held in Mexico City, Nuevo León, and Tlaxcala.
The head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) praised the participation of the 32 state tourism secretariats, as well as more than 600 representatives from the three levels of government, chambers and business organizations, service providers, academia, and society.
She highlighted that 50 thematic discussion panels addressed topics such as competitiveness and tourism services; regional development and community tourism; diversification and sustainable development; and innovation and technology in tourism.
