Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez was in Tlalnepantla for the launch of the «Weapon Exchange 2025» program, accompanied by Mayor Raciel Pérez Cruz, members of the Coordination Board for Peacebuilding, and authorities from the Ministry of National Defense. The governor exchanged war toys for educational games with municipal students.

From June 2 to September 27, this «Yes to Disarmament, Yes to Peace» initiative will be carried out in 49 municipalities with the goal of removing weapons from homes and communities to avoid violent environments and prevent accidents.

The surrender of weapons for destruction is voluntary, peaceful, and anonymous, in exchange for a monetary amount specified in a table.
