#SICT.- The Secretariat of Communications and Transport Infrastructure (SICT), in charge of Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina, advances in the construction of the Bavispe-New Casas Grandes, strategic axis that will connect to more than 115 thousand 835 inhabitants and generate around 5,600 jobs.
It began its construction in March and there are currently 7 work fronts, 246 workers and 205 machines, with an investment of 1,859 million pesos.
It will be a artery that will facilitate the connection between Guaymas and Bavispe, as well as the Guaymas-Yécora-Chihuahua route, consolidating itself as a strategic corridor for trade and tourism.
Among the main benefits of this road is the integration of Agua Prieta with New Casas Grandes, which will allow regional mobility by decreasing 90 minutes the journey.
With more than 181 kilometers long, the Bavispe-New Casas Grande road infrastructure goes beyond the saving of time, it is to be able to connect to this region, so it works on:
Construction of 67 kilometers of completely new road, of which 18 kilometers correspond to the state of Sonora and 49 kilometers to the state of Chihuahua.
The remaining 114 kilometers are conservation in the municipalities of Janos and Nuevo Casas Grandes.
