#SecretaríaDeCultura#México.- The Creative Seedbeds of Mexico City were the protagonists of the Multidisciplinary Meeting “Art without Borders”, held on Friday, June 13 at Utopia Tezontli, in Iztapalapa, Mexico City. Through workshops, presentations and social spaces, more than 50 children and young people strengthened their artistic training with Mexican artists currently living abroad.

This activity was part of the 6th IMME Artists’ Day, held from June 11 to 13 in Mexico City. The meeting, organized by the IMME in coordination with the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Mexican Ministry of Culture, brought together Mexican artists abroad to promote cultural exchange. Within this framework, the members of the Semilleros broadened their artistic experience through the exchange of knowledge, languages and methodologies from other contexts.

During the day, three community workshops were offered by IMME members: Social Circus with Hula Hoop and Juggling; ChorégraKIDS: Dance and Choreographic Creation Laboratory, and Embroidering Mexico: Embroidered Postcards. In each one, the members of the Semilleros Creativos explored new forms of expression through movement, play and textile techniques.

The circus workshop promoted teamwork, coordination and confidence through playful dynamics with objects. In the dance laboratory, children and young people experimented with different ways of moving. Finally, in Embroidering Mexico, they embroidered postcards that reflect their identity and territory, guided by Mexican artists currently living abroad.

These activities strengthened their artistic process and provided a valuable cultural exchange with Mexicans working abroad. The sessions promoted creativity, collaborative work and recognition of the cultural links between Mexico and its community abroad.
